The LEx Prize - US $1 Million to Stop Aging Now
The LEx Prize is conceived specifically to inspire the minds and motivate the spirits of scientists.  It is modeled in similar construct to the X Prize, that resulted with the world's first private spacecraft hurling into the edge of space in 2004.  As a cash prize of US $1 Million, The LEx Prize will be awarded to the first researcher(s) or scientist(s) who accomplish the goal of reliably demonstrating the reversal or halting of the aging process in humans, as defined by The LEx Prize Criteria.

The World Center for Anti-Aging Medicine
As described by Dr. Klatz: "Not only is it time for a sizeable federal commitment to study aging interventions, but it is time for the creation of a Center of Excellence where the world's greatest minds and talents in the field can conduct research and apply their knowledge in clinical anti-aging therapeutics.  The World Center for Anti-Aging Medicine will be this Center of Excellence." The crown jewel of the entire anti-aging medical movement, The World Center functions as a world-class, university affiliated research and treatment facility unique in its focus on the investigation and application of diagnostic and treatment protocols that extend the length and enhance the quality, of the human lifespan.  The Business Plan is largely ready for immediate implementation.  The project's initial funding needs are estimated at US $30 Million, of which private commitments totaling US $3 Million have already been secured.  For the shortfall, the A4M seeks angel benefactors who share our vision to realize anti-aging breakthroughs on an broad and wide-ranging scale.

The LEx Prize:  Stop Aging Now
US $1 Million Cash to the First Researcher/Scientist to Halt the Degenerative Processes of Human Aging

A cash prize of US $1 Million, The LEx Prize will be awarded to the first researcher(s) or scientist(s) who accomplish the goal of reliably demonstrating the reversal or halting of the aging process in humans, as defined by The LEx Prize Criteria.  The winning scientists or researchers must demonstrate that the therapeutic program has reduced the objective biomarkers of aging in ten human subjects (ages 70 years or more), by twenty years each.   Scientists or researchers interested in claiming The LEx Prize will be required to submit a complete and thorough written presentation of their work.  The presentation shall include scientific demonstration and independently verifiable data showing that the therapeutic intervention program has reversed the objective biomarkers of aging as described in the Criteria.

For the purposes of The LEx Prize, the biomarkers of aging to be satisfactorily reversed include, but are not limited to:*
· Laboratory Markers:
· Mitrochondrial energy production
· Production of intrinsic intracellular antioxidant molecules (demonstrating antioxidant protection/buffering capacity)
· Collagen crosslinking histology; intracellular matrix changes secondary to aging effects of connective tissue
· Cortisol levels and diurnal variation

· Physical Markers:
· Body composition and body fat
· Bone density
· EKG, R1-R2 variability, and response to stress and load
· Peripheral vascular circulation
· Cardiac output
· Pulmonary function
· Brachial/popliteal and femoral pulse pressures
· Kidney filtration/renal function
· Grip strength
· Memory and cognitive function, and timed test-taking performance
· Psychological disposition
· Nerve conduction velocity
· Sensory function: including olfactory, taste, hearing, tactile, visual accommodation, and vibrational sense
· Balance and coordination
· Reaction time
*Criteria may be revised at the sole discretion of The LEx Prize Scientific Panel to reflect updated knowledge on the process of aging.

A4M asks you to pledge to The LEx Prize fund, either as an individual or organization.  Leading individual pledges received to-date include:
-- US $100,000 from A4M President Ronald Klatz, MD, DO
-- US $100,000 from A4M Chairman Robert Goldman, MD, PhD, DO, FAASP
-- US $25,000 from Eric Braverman, MD
-- US $25,000 from Ron Rothenberg, MD
-- US $25,000 from Mark Gordon, MD
-- US $10,000 from Nick Delgado, PhD
With your support, we can make The LEx Prize a success, and the reversal of aging a reality.

The World Center for Anti-Aging Medicine

Introduction
As the natural and next progression in anti-aging medicine, the A4M seeks to establish a Center of Excellence to foster medical innovations relating to enhancement and/or extension of the healthy human lifespan.  The World Center for Anti-Aging Medicine is projected to need US$30 Million in initial funding, of which the A4M has already secured private commitments totaling US$2 Million. For the shortfall, the A4M seeks angel benefactors who share our vision to realize anti-aging breakthroughs for the benefit of humanity, to support this project.

The Business Plan is largely ready for immediate implementation, as the A4M has defined all the start-up and ongoing items necessary for the project.  With your support, the vision of a Center of Excellence in Anti-Aging Medicine can be realized without delay.

Overview
The World Center for Anti-Aging Medicine merges clinical and research objectives in an innovative vision of the future of medicine.  The World Center functions as a world-class, university affiliated research and treatment facility unique in its focus on the investigation and application of diagnostic and treatment protocols that extend the length, and enhance the quality, of the human lifespan.   Researchers yielding discoveries that will revolutionize the very early detection, treatment, and rejuvenation of aging-related disorders will work alongside clinicians delivering multi-therapeutic interventions designed to slow, stop, and/or reverse the process of human aging.

The World Center will be uniquely positioned as the crown jewel of the entire anti-aging medical movement.  The World Center will be the leading facility established to realize effective interventions that alter the detrimental course and impact of the degenerative diseases of human aging. The World Center is a state-of-the art facility at which the greatest contemporary scientific minds will conduct studies to discover the secrets of aging and devise novel, effective interventions to prolong quality and quantity of life.

The long-term broad-reaching objectives for The World Center include:
1.  To train a new generation of physicians in the dominant healthcare system for our new millennia, namely, anti-aging medicine.
2.  To publish perennially the results of our lifelong ongoing study in order to halt old age diseases.  This is anticipated to be a significant source of major medical news for the media
3.  To rapidly become the focal point of innovations in science-based healthcare that may be replicated in countries around the world, thereby making this advanced model of medicine available to all.
4.  To be the home of the most innovative medical science today -- indeed, the only scientific movement with the potential to alleviate the social, economic, and political woes associated with an aging population.  The World Center will be the culmination of the abundant wealth of nutritional and alternative medical approaches, represented today by the $46 billion life in cash paid by the American people who seek this cutting-edge medical care.
